How a Simple Frustration Became a Mission
Every business has a beginning. The beginning of Bright & Clean Rug came from a frustration that many people feel when faced with the work of a rug that has lost its original vibrancy through time and chemicals.
One of the family rugs, which had been part of the family for over 20 years, came from a rug cleaning company in Irvine, CA looking quite faded and brittle to the touch with a distinct chemical smell.
It was then that the owner realized that the people of Irvine deserved a rug cleaning company that understood the care that their rugs needed and the value that they place upon them.
Bright & Clean Rug was built with this idea in mind.
Bright & Clean Rug is a locally owned rug care company based out of Irvine, CA. Each member of our team is proud of the work that we do and always seeking to learn something new about the rug industry each day.
We are not a franchise, and we are not a company that can be found in the directories of a thousand different towns. We are your neighbors in Irvine and in the surrounding areas, and we care for your rugs as you would want your own rugs to be cared for.
Over the years, Bright & Clean Rug has accumulated thousands of rugs that we have cleaned throughout our local Irvine community and surrounding areas. From synthetic rugs to rare hand knotted antiques, we have experience with them all.
What We Actually Believe In
We believe in the importance of being honest with rug owners. If a stain cannot be removed, we will tell the owner before beginning the rug cleaning process. If a rug cannot be cleaned in a certain way, we will also discuss this with the rug owner prior to beginning the process.
We believe that rugs hold a great deal of meaning for the individuals that own them. Whether they are a rug that was gifted, a rug that was gifted as a token of appreciation, or one that was purchased as a symbol of cultural importance to the family, rugs hold meaning.
Therefore, cleaning them is an act of preservation of those meanings.

Our Approach to Every Single Rug
Before we begin the rug cleaning process for any rug, we inspect the rug to determine its fiber type (wool, silk, cotton, jute, synthetic), its construction (hand knotted, hand tufted, flat weave, machine made), the stability of its dye, and any damage that the rug may have suffered over time.
Based upon this inspection, we can develop a plan for cleaning the rug to ensure that the outcome of the rug will be as satisfying as possible for the rug and its owners.
